Bistrita ENGAGing citizens during the European Mobility Week15 October 2012 | 17h27 | 127 visits The first Romanian ENGAGE city Bistrița is successfully implementing its local ENGAGE campaign. Several activities have been organised during the European Mobility Week. From the 16th to the 22nd of September ENGAGE posters have been widely displayed and used to promote local mobility initatives. Workshops for primary school students were held at the Environmental Information and Education Centre administered by the municipality. At the beginning of the workshops the children were engaged in an open discussion on the efficiency of ecological vehicles that are available, then students revealed their artistic qualities in a painting workshop and discussed openly on this topic. All the actions of the "European Mobility Week 2012" held in Bistriţa ended with a photo-engagement - ENGAGE- through which the participants of all ages expressed their wish to be involved daily, through small gestures, in the protection of the environment in which they live and work. |
