The Lisbon Metropolitan Area discovers ENGAGE in Oeiras

On the 11th of October, a workshop and a study tour were organised in Oeiras (Portugal). Municipalities from the Metropolitan Area attended this ENGAGE day.

In order to present some of the actions of the Sustainable Energy Action Plan in Oeiras (PAESO), the Municipality of Oeiras, in partnership with the "Metropolitan Agenda 21" of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area promoted the ENGAGE Day focussing on Local Sustainable Energy.

This ENGAGE day in Oeiras was held on October 11th, in the premises of AERLIS (Business Association of Lisbon Region) in Oeiras and had about 36 participants from Oeiras and municipalities within the Metropolitan Area.

During the morning, a workshop was held on the subject of sustainable energy where the ENGAGE campaign was presented as well as the Action Plan for Sustainable Energy in Oeiras, Energy Efficiency in Public Lighting and the Solar Community - Oeiras Solar Lab.

A study tour followed that enabled participants to discover ENGAGE posters and achievements in the streets.

The City of Oeiras aims to develop actions for Sustainable Local Development to further combine increased competitiveness, quality of life, social equity and environmental sustainability.
