On the 1st of October, over 3,000 people participated in dynamic games and concerts promoting ENGAGE!
The first ENGAGE day of the 12 ENGAGE pioneer cities planned in October and November 2011 took place in Pamplona (Spain). From 9:00 to 22:00, diverse activities were organised to present the ENGAGE campaign and local energy&climate objectives to participants.
A huge banner was displayed at the place of the festival with the first 250 posters of Pamplona’s ENGAGE campaign.
Among the activities organised on the 1st:
Games for children who could play with inflatables, a train and orginal bikes!
Workshops about recycling.
Hot air balloon whose basket displayed the ENGAGE poster of Pamplona City Council.
As part of the APAGA Y VÁMONOS / Turn off and let’s go festival, a concert with 13 different bands was organised in the evening. A silent film of Charlie Chaplin was then screened with jazz music and candles. All the bands committed to the ENGAGE campaign in Pamplona by signing an engagement.
During the ENGAGE day, participants were invited to join the campaign. 120 people joined the campaign and 85 new engagements were gathered during this event!
