Bielsko-Biala sends 300 energy messages to Europe28 October 2011 | 13h40 | 496 visits Under the slogan “Bielsko-Biala protects the climate”, ENGAGE days were organised in Bielsko-Biala (Poland) on the 21st and 22nd of October as part of the “Beskids festival of good energy”. Climate Ambassadors form the ENGAGE exhibition that can be visited until the 3rd of November. 300 balloons were released to spread the word in Europe. 300 Climate Ambassadors including athletes, musicians, actors, public officials, business owners, cultural institutions, the elderly, the young, teens and children participate in the ENGAGE campaign in Bielsko-Biala . Best to bend while ‘tis a twig, or how the youngest got engaged With the tremendous support of the Municipal Board of Education a coordinator was appointed in each school. A spectacular example of the effect of these actions is the Primary School No. 13 in Lipnik. The entire teaching staff, along with the pupils got engaged in the protection of energy at school by placing stickers with simple measures to save energy near light switches and printers. This resulted in the school saving as much as 26,650 zł (8,750€)! Good Energy Festival of the Beskids is a festival for all those who want to engage in this joint action.
