ENGAGE Première in Pamplona23 November 2011 | 12h23 | 272 visits As a precursor to the official launch of the ENGAGE campaign in Brussels next week, Spanish cities were able to meet and discuss directly with the ENGAGE pioneer cities last Thursday. With the challenge of having 150 new cities joining ENGAGE before the end of 2012, Energy Cities, Futerra sustainability communications and the ENGAGE pioneer cities tested their campaigning skills in front of a receptive group of Spanish cities attending the 11th Forum of local authorities associated to LA21 Red NELS in Pamplona (Spain). The 12 pioneer cities highlighted their best communications ideas of their local ENGAGE campaign and shared with Barcelona, Bilbao, Zaragoza and other attending Spanish cities their successful activities. Indeed, they have to date engaged more than 3,500 people resulting in 2,200 posters online on the European poster gallery. Pamplona as host provided very convincing proof of their citizen and stakeholder partipation. The Mayor of Pamplona Enrique Maya opened the event and expressed his support for the campaign and invited Spanish local authorities to join the initiative. He also proudly appeared with the 12 pioneer ENGAGE cities in front of Pamplona’s impressive poster exhibition. © photo D.N.: The Mayor of Pamplona Enrique Maya and ENGAGE partners. |
